What The Fug is EDC!!!!

OH MY!!! I get asked this question almost daily. What is EDC? Simply put EDC is an acronym for Every Day Carry. It doesn’t matter who you are. Male or Female. Adult or Child. You probably have an everyday carry. Stop and think about it. What do you absolutely have to have with you before you leave the house each day.

Many times when I discuss EDC, someone will stop me and say, “But I don’t carry a knife1” OK, but you have your keys, those sunglasses, maybe your wallet or purse?

EDC is not all about having a weapon, knife, or multitool. It’s what do you carry to make life easier, more enjoyable. So let’s dive into this. For many the day starts with the morning rituals, then on to getting dressed. Many guys have to have a belt, many women its their make up kit. Well, those are forms of EDC. Then on to the daily grind. Me for example, I grab my coffee, my pocket organizer with some basic tools (which I do use daily), My backpack, and keys.

Then its of to the races. I get to work and continue with my day. Oh lets not forget the Bronco EDC. We all have those things we keep in our vehicle too. Basic Tools, Rope, Zip Ties, Shovel, Machete, Axe, Tent, Camp Chair, Electric Cooler, Solar Panels, etc…

Wait…. Maybe that’s just me.

Ok, but you get the point. Well have shit we carry in our vehicles. So back to EDC. Many people have made a hobby out of Every Day Carry. There are all kinds of gizmos and gadgets you can buy or make that make the day to day more enjoy able. There are budget set ups (here), and High End Bougie set ups. Basically you just need to find what works for you and fits with in your budget. Pens, Pocket knives, Fidgety toys, coins, Begleir’s, zippos, etc…
